Those are definitely California Kingsnakes.

There is a phase of California Kingsnake known as "desert phase" - which is a striking contrast between black and white bands. Most Cal Kings have some black or chocolate speckling in cream coloured bands, on the edge of the scales.

Desert Phase CA Kings are crisp and clean bands.

Desert Kingsnake is a different subspecies altogether.
