Judging by the pic with the mouse, Spot seems kind of on the heavy side, so he simply may have just not been hungry.

Finding out if he is a male or not, since he is about a year and a half, would be by probing. If you have any friends that have snake collections, they may have some probes, and I would suggest getting someone who is experienced in that area to help you with sexing Spot.

I am glad to hear that he has eaten!! If he does not need to brumate, then I would not even try.
