"Peanut Butter" is a type of hypomelanism in Florida kings... Type II hypo if you will.
In the 1st strain of hypo black pigment is still present we just don't see as much of it! thus enhancing the ground color...
This is the same for the PB mutation but additionally the PB mutation affects the degree of melanin (black pigment) expressed... i.e. the dark pigments take on a more coffee brown color... also all PB's have ruby red eyes... The gene is almost like Hypo and Lavender where "superimposed" onto each other creating this mutation ... but it's not related (allelic) to either of those mutations.
However PB is allelic to the T- Albino mutation... when PB is bred to T- you don't get a clutch of 2x hets you end up with a completely NEW Morph! Aanalysis of this mutation is still in the early stages so what exactly the new morph really is, is still undetermined for now...
