I don't know why it would or wouldn't. It doesn't necessarily have to work on snakes like it does with alligators or lizards.
I believe current literature regarding snakes pretty much dispells the idea of temp-determined sex in hatchling snakes. So that is why this example is interesting. It may (or may not) open the door for observing this in other species of snakes as well. ----- Mark
