I keep track of weights by writing them on the paper as well. I write "(date) weight: this many grams".
I have a program on my computer called "breeder's assistant". I use the generic one, and it keeps track of what I need to know.
My cards last me at least 6 months, for some animals that shed and eat less frequently, they can last a year.
I'm just offering up what works for me and my collection. Since I check/clean tubs before work, I don't have time to boot up my computer and program and enter everything in. Anytime I notice something, I can just jot it down on the paper. It's not that I'm not computer savvy, it's just way more convenient and easier to keep up with.
