some eastern king locales and OBX kings are known to prefer lizards as hatchlings, that's just the way it is. even captive born hatchlings. they are not domesticated- yet! experienced hobbyists will buy a lizard feeder when working with an uncommon or high demand species and take their time (and chances on occasion)getting the animal to accept something it may not normally eat. But for example if I wanted to buy a normal corn snake- they are very common, I would expect the one I purchased to be eating pinks.
