Posted by: Upscale at Fri Jun 13 08:01:50 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Upscale ] I’ve seen a kingsnake coil a grip around a corn and then twist the corn by the head until it was a ball of kinked dead snake. Definitely a lot more work than killing a rodent. It may be that bullsnakes are conditioned to hold a prey item (or two) up against the side of a burrow, rat snakes just have to loop around a mouse, etc. Maybe kingsnakes develop that classic “hangman’s noose” type squeeze from coiling around other snakes and using their whole bodies to grip that type food item? | ||
