I've heard scientific reports of horrible things with reptiles only being given distilled water in their bowls as you mentioned. It seems to actually swell the tissue cell walls and weakens them severely, giving the snake's a very obese appearance. Additionally, I think many have also died due to the water having absolutely NO mineral value whatsoever that is so crutial to the animal's cell functions. Definitely NOT a good thing!.....I'm sure distilled water probably sounds like a good "pure" thing to some folks to give to their reptiles,...but this is DEFINITELY not the case.



I'm glad you mentioned that here, as it might actually help save a few snake's lives in the future from owners that are unaware of this.
