Eastern Kings are not common in the foothills of NC, so this was a spectacular find. First photo is the female. Second and Third photo are of the male. The kings I find on the western part of the state seem to be more robust than the ones I find on the coast. I wonder if this is due to more of a rodent based diet in the western Piedmont/Foothills???
