I'm glad the snake seems to be doing okay now,....an ambient temp of about 75-77, and warm side of 81-83 is a really good scenario to shoot for with them if at all possible.
In very small containers(plastic shoeboxes, etc...), that are optimum for housing SK's in, it can be very dificult to have much of a temp gradient. So if this doesnt seem real possible for you, just keep the whole thing about 80-82, and that will do fine too.
hope the snake continues to do well for you, good luck!
