"The Blaze is a hyperythristic trait"



That was the original assumption but I'm not sure it's correct. I've seen too many outcrossed lines that just look drab as adults to think that the trait is adding any color at all. I think this may be a type of hypo and that the only reason the original animals were "blazing" was becasue they originiated from a hi red line. Just my 2 cents.
