The first would be a purely defensive action which wouldn't have to do with scent but from being 'attacked' by a looming object. A small cage hook actually works wonders in this instance by getting the snake into your hands without scaring it. The gloves might help if it's actually a feeding response, although the first thing to try would be feeding more. | ||
