I have more hets than anything. Some of them trace back directly to 100% locality S. Florida kings. None were outcrossed as I kept the original Hypos, axanthics and peanut butters that way. Now I do have some spectacular normals that are not from South Dade county.
I think if anyone saw the selection of normals I have their eyes would bug out. Refinment of the yellow phenotypes from S. Florida started before the Hypos and axanthics. That is where the gene came from. FROM BREEDING SIBLINGS BACK TO ONE ANOTHER THAT WERE SELECTIVLY BRED for light colors.
So if you want classic S. Dade county stock you don't have to look no futher. I guess i should take some pics and post them here soon.
