I still remember the first wild bullsnake I found. As a kid I lived up in the Rockies and we didn't have tons of herps--wandering garters, fence lizards...that was most of what we had.

On a trip with my father to Mesa Verde though, I saw a brilliant bullsnake...good clean yellow coloring, nice defined black blotches. It was stunning

North America has some killer snakes--alterna, everglades rats, corns, bulls, most getula ssps, rough greens (I like 'em!) and ribbon snakes...just some amazing snakes we got over here.

Not to mention the rattlers...
