News has become infotainment. The regular old crime doesn’t hold eyeballs to the station any more. If it bleeds (or slithers) it leads! Look at the CSI shows. First it was a murder, and then every episode must top the last for more gruesome, outrageous, titilating, bizarre, exploding, etc. It’s called the boob tube for a reason, and it isn’t because of what I don’t get with regular basic...
