Don't worry, nobody really knows what it is, but we all know it's a snake, so just fill up 1/2 the aquarium with hot water and put a log with some dry ice on it in it, you know, so it can have a choice of a warm, wet side or a dry, cold side. Also, try feeding it crickets scented with tuna juice, it always works for me, and for the stuck shed, I'd use duct tape, that stuff works on anything! I have printed all this and more on a care sheet that I sell for more than Bluerosy's morphs, but it's way worth it!

Also, I'm certain from your description and the FACT that you got it at a totally respectable store that specializes in reptiles, that it is an exact locality, pure, het for lots of cool stuff Mexican kingsnake or milksnake, ratsnake, or pine/bull/gopher snake that may be a natural cross, 'cause, well, they ALL are! TRUST me! I know, I've been at this since I was a lot younger than I am now, and know all there is about all of them. just because I never go out in the field doesn't mean I don't know my way around a deli cup, and believe me, I've been to a show once or twice.

Please disregard all advice given in this thread, as we have been drinking alcohol, instead of rubbing it on the burns of the previously aforementioned snake!

Happy New Years, ya' dang Kangsnake lovers!

P.s. Post a few out of focus pictures with your crappy cell phone so we can all guess what it isn't tomorrow over Bloody Marys! Be sure and get a belly shot and move the paraphernalia out of the shot so we can concentrate.

also, use a heat pad along with the lamp, just let it float to the the bottom and put the lamp on the log and put a floating thermometer in there, you know, so we can adjust the temps later.

anyway, your snake should be brumating, or as we call it, hibernating about now. if it's a little skinny, that's okay, cause they shut completely down in the winter no matter the temp, they use an internal sundial to tell the seasons!
