Well, although there have been a couple aberrant partial striped individuals captured from the Tampa Bay area of Hillborough County(David Justice), a few have also been found in Manatee County as well. However it seems that the origin of most aberrants known in the hobby today were founded from wild-caught animals from Hendry County, which is just south southwest of Lake Okeechobee in the abundant cane field areas. These were captured by Carl May, a snake hunting buddy of Sean Belanger in March of 2004. The snakes were actually normal phenotype kings that were collected at the time, but BOTH were gravid females. Sean B. later hatched the eggs from one of the gravid females that he chose to keep(gave the other to Phil Peaks), and out of 6 snakes that Sean hatched, four of them were normal, and two were completely aberrant. These are the snakes that originated most of the aberrant lines that are seen in the hobby today.
best regards, ~Doug
