10 gallon tank. how secure are screens?

I have a 10 gallon, that im gonna house my pyro in. Im looking to buy a screen top for this. anyone have any experience with the clips? My other two snakes are currently in 20 gallon long tanks with the sliding screen lids, but the 10 gallon doesnt have the slide on it, i would have to just set the cover on top. I see walmart has a plastic type cover, with 4 little clips on each corner, but im not sure how good this is, also petsmart has a screen top w/two clips.are these all sufficent for kingsnakes?
