Damn Luc, making me work today arent you. LOL. As far as parvirubra are concerned, California TRIED to include them along wiht pulchra back in the early 90's, but it didnt happen. Thank God.



Pulchra generally cna not be touched, PERIOD. No collecting, no ownership in their native state, NADA. Other "ssp" forms (as you're aware, currently there are no ssp recognition for zonata other than herrerae....they are now referred to as Northern and Southern Clades......you can also peruse the "Zonata Past and Present" section of my site which details this stuff...) are allowed one per California resident for collection and possession with a legitimate fishing license. There is also, for Ca. residents, a commercial breeding permit that allows up to 30 zonata to be kept. Anyone interested in applying who are reading this from California can contact me to find out how to apply. It's not that difficult.
