I used to see those toads all the time when I was a pool guy working in Scottsdale. I'd always find them laying strings of eggs on the bottom of this pool by Camelback Mountain. So I'd catch them with my net and drop them as far from the pool as possible. They always found it again though, I believe we were in a drought so it was the closest water. Eventually I would find them dead from the pool chemicals. It was a damn shame.
