RE: Tub size

If you want to go with a tub the size of a 50 gallon tank the Container Store has a tub 18"x36Animal Plastics makes a rack for them that is well made AND inexpensive for it if you want to maybe reconsider building your own(900 series I believe). I have considered trimming off the little "L" feet on the bottom so the tub does not "bump" when slid open. I talked to AP a little while back and they said if you sent them a tub trimmed they could build the rack with the removal taken into account. They are such good quality and priced inexpensivly that sometimes building isn't worth it. No warping concerns either!



What's nice about going for the bigger tubs is that you are getting the convienience of a rack with the floor space of a cage you would have if cost/space wasn't a big concern.
