Man, I am sure there are a ton of nonnative plants introduced in the Florida wilds as well, like our hyacinth problem here in the bayous of Louisiana. I find it funny how the nonnative anoles and small iquanid species that are competing with the native green anole arent really mentioned. You mention Hawaii, which is probably one the major producers of WC jacksons chams now, right? LOL!! I bet you wouldnt hear a peep out of folks, the USDA, USFWL, or anyone would care about jacksons chameleons established in Florida, even if they were preying on and devastating a native species like the green anole. Still, 10 plus foot snakes do have a way of bringing attention to themselves!!
