Killer bees are pretty bad, because they really can, and have, killed people. The same can be said for fire ants, but these things don’t get the publicity that slow dim witted pythons get. Killer bees can fly and nest anywhere, including any fancy gated community and are a threat when you are on a golf course, walking to your car at the mall, or mowing your lawn. The pythons threaten no one directly, and to me they are just filling in a void left by eliminating the other predators of foraging vermin like native indigos, kingsnakes, diamondbacks and water moccassins. Some snakes can not survive a habitat criss crossed with roads because they are more active hunters. It is almost ideal for an ambush type sedentary large bodied constrictor, hence they will flourish while the former’s altered habitat is no longer suitable to sustain them. They will be gone and the python will thrive. It’s quite a natural process, actually.
