Woke my son up early yesterday and headed SW to hit a few tin sites just as the sun was coming up. We had a great morning, finding 8 snakes which represented five different species. This was the highlight of the day though...I lifted a 10x10 side of a fallen barn and looked underneath to see a big eastern king. My hands were full holding up the heavy barn, so our only shot of securing the big eastern for photos was my six year old son making the grab. He pulled this monster out on his own. This pic was taken moments afterward. Awesome experience for both of us!

We also found a nice mole king, our second live one and third overall for 2010.

Thanks for looking,
Michael
