Unless you are a scientist looking at the spurs on hemipenis differences or dna or neck bone joints or some pin head research, it does not matter. All the names used in the hobby are in keeping with the names in common use in field guides and other such consumer publications so you have a pretty good idea what to look up in the care manuals, if you need to. It is what it looks like as far as anyone in the hobby should care. It is of zero importance. Feed it and take care of it and call it Fred if you want. [ Hide Replies ]
