We've got Coluber constrictor constrictor (Northern Black Racers) in southern Maine, and as I understand it, they're not too hard to find if you know where to look. My dad (who also posts here occasionally) found one a few weeks ago, should be able to get some pictures of it when I head down to the "deep south" (York County) to visit him this weekend.
