If wc X f1= f2 AND f1 X f1= f2, it is obviously more accurate to give the actual background of each parent rather than just call them f2s. It's definitely a matter of opinion at what point you can still call something a locality snake, but I think very few would argue whether wc X f1 is still locality.

I agree that there a lot of lines that descend from locality collected stock, that no longer accurately represent the locality.
