The female's "pre-lay" shed should be kept a close eye on. You should have a nice fluffy box(or big pile) of moistened sphagnum moss added to the enclosure after she sheds. She will generally lay in the neighborhood of anywhere from around 6 to 10 days AFTER this shed.

Having a good place for her to lay them beforehand lessens any possible stress on her, and makes any egg laying issues a little less likely too.

The snake will cruise in and out of the box to check things out from time to time, this is quite normal. When she settles down and stays in there for a day or so, you know she will be depositing the eggs ANYTIME!. If you peer in and see some white from some eggs being laid, leave her undisturbed for at least another 8 hours or so, to make sure all of the eggs are out before messing with her. When you see her cloaca area is all deflated, you know there aren't any more viable eggs left to lay.
