There isn't any strong indication that the Banana Goini's look is tied to a specific recessive trait. His parents were both wild-caught and were found over 8 miles apart, so it is unlikely that they were closely related.
There are a few key traits that I think set him apart:
A) This snake has never had any hint of red or orange coloration. From the day he hatched this snake has been bright yellow.
B) Other than a few black dots, his belly is solid yellow too.
C) He's somewhere in between patternless and striped.
D) Solid Colored Scales - Most patternless and striped Goini have scales that are at least half black. Laterally this guy's scales are almost 100% Yellow. Dorsally there is a little black tipping, which helps form his stripe.
I hope whatever is going on with him is an inheritable trait. As it stands, goini patterns are extremely variable and can be difficult to predict.
