The cost of shipping

I live in Wisconsin (53704) and I got a shipping quote from a seller in Texas today for $77. That seems pretty darn high to me. I received a couple of snakes from Alaska last fall and that was like $52. Someone is making it awful hard to buy/sell non-locally.
