Yes, the only consolation to all this is that unless you have a VERY close reptile show where there is a wide assortment of vendors and snakes to choose from to get the exact type you want, you would probably have to drive for a couple hours to get to it. In which case you would have to consider the cost of gas up AND back, and anything you ate, etc... while you were there. In which case you wouldn't save a whole lot(if any), and maybe not even be able to get exactly what you were looking for either..LOL!
In other words, sometimes people will rationalize spending a dollar to save a dime..
