Yeah, I've caught several Pine Woods snakes around my area in the past. One winter I flipped a log and I could just see the snake coiled up inside the rotted bark. Another time I found one in my buddy's flower garden in the mulch in Ft. Pierce.
Very cool little snakes that are usually very placid and easy-going when handled. Mildly venomous(rear-fanged) as well.
They can be pretty variable just like most snakes too.
