Tyrosine and it enzyme tyrosinase are just two of many possible explanations for the difference in color. I think it was actually studied in one particular morph of one particular species (I don't even remember which one, someone help me out here... boas?) and somehow spread across all of herpetoculture. I just find it funny that people use such specific terminology for something that is completely vague and may or may not have anything to do with tyrosine. | ||
