ok, so I bred a normal looking albino cal king and got 7 eggs.They are just hatching and there is just one albino in the clutch and 6 normals????WTF? I have used the albino male on several other females in the past and always get 100% duh! whats going on? I guess I could see it if every single one came out normal it would just be a different albino gene.I thought that all the amel genes in cal kings where the same?I am not talking lavender or blonde or hypo or anything weird just plain old amel.

Anyway, here is a pic of the breeder female.





here is the clutch hatching.The normals are a weird color and almost look hypo but its hard to say.I have never seen anything ever mask amel so Im just guessing that they are dbl-het for two lines of albino and the female breeder must have been type 2 or whatever and been just het for type 1.thoughts?







I guess that the single hatchling albino could be a type 1 or 2 or even both huh?
