Nests might consist of pinkies or fuzzies, then they have to go about looking for the next one. They are not sitting in a 30 inch tub eating ten full grown lab produced mice. I do agree that in years when food is plentiful, the snakes will respond by producing 2 or 3 clutches. That's why I always tell people if you want a double clutch you have to feed them very well, after they lay their eggs. I do feed my animals well, just not all they can consume in one sitting.
