>>Those are some fine animals John!

>>Let me ask because when it comes to Thayeri, I am not that knowledgable. Is there a way that you can tell how some babies will turn out as adults? I have heard that they can dramatically change colors as they grow. Is this true?

All thayeri go through some degree of ontogenetic speckling.....
Some barely do and some drastically do.......

The line bred animals that Tim Gebhardt at Vivid and others have been working with can and will hold onto their hatchling colors......
Since there has been only a few new introductions of new blood in the lines (wild confiscated animals a decade or more ago) most will hold onto their hatchling colors......I am only speaking about those that did not cross lines (locales) nor outcrossed......

It seems the Dan Vermilya and Vivid Reptiles animals seem to be the cleanest adults.......And those that work with animals from their lines.......Other lines like Applegate's, Lemke's, Sipperly's still have the Wild Type look to them........

But......If you check out Bob Hansen's website you can see wild Leonis adults with terrific, colorful patterns.......with little to no ontogenetic speckling.......

So all in all, it depends on the lineage....

These I posted above are from Vivid's line...and will stay the color they are to adulthood.......with little speckling......
You saw the pics of the adults haven't you?

Here they are just in case:
