I agree there are occasional holdouts but many times it's just finding what they want....they know what they want we just have to somehow make it available
Well with Florida kings.... (and i am not talking about eastern kings or geybands etc)... I have found that they all eat unscented pinks in time. Just have to be patient.
I used to scent but discovered it may not be the scenting or braining. just the timing matched when they finally decided to eat.
the way i found out was if I have a group that is not feeding and i set them aside . What happened is I offered pinks and they all didn't eat. Then later on, I offered tme scented or brained. They ate. But then the ones in teh same group ate unscented. i just used regular unscented pinks in with them and viola', they ate as well.
Now i just wait them out. they don't seem to lose weight. I do however offer live pinks to those "late" feeders. Just to make it easier to remove the pinks so they don't decompose.
of course, I am just saying this about Floridas. not other groups of kingsnakes. Even other getula like eastern edisto islands, mosaics etc. are hardcore snake feedrs when born. ----- www.Bluerosy.com
