Awesome. As a California native, I appreciate your efforts and those of others to propagate zonata. Takes pressure off wild populations when lots and lots of CB offspring are readily available.
I was looking at a particular locality in Riverside County, CA - in the field looking that is - that in the past was pretty hard hit by collectors, probably moreso in the 80s but also in the 90s. Today it looks almost untouched. No harm in looking for z's, just be supportive to their continued existence. And I think for this particular So Cal locale, it seems that folks are doing that. Perhaps it is because the snakes are not high on the list of collector zonata, and I think it is in part because CB offspring of this general area are more available now. So keep up the good work.
