Not a new thing at all.....
They've been around since the Lemke, Porras, Vaverka and Retes days......
They used to be popular but the bright oranges and yellows were line bred for over the last dozen years or so......
It seems the earth tones and melanistics are making a come back......wild types......
As for the genetics.......there may be different lines, but I believe most to be recessive........I will be breeding a "het" pair together next Spring.....we'll see what their outcome is....... ----- John Lassiter
