Also, I think the one morph that is Peanut butter x axanthic x hypo should just simply be called what it IS, a "peanut butter ghost".

The problem is with these names that "originally" the proper terms were applied to the wrong morphs, screwing everything up.. For instance the SNOW in brooks is not a true snow since a T neg albino x axanthic is a true snow. So how do we fix the past and differentuiate between the proper terms? We can't change the name of the Snow with lavender in it. people refuse to call it a Lavender snow. We had the discussion here on the name of the lavender version snow to be called a lavender snow and people did not agree. I however call them lavender snows when talking to people.

I actually tend to agree with both you and gerard. But the one problem with this Peanut butter Ghost is the name is confusing. Since myself and jeremy have been working with it for sevral years we get confused as to which animal we are referring to during discussion over the phone. If you think about it, what is a Ghost?? It is a hypo and axanthic, correct? And that is what the peanut butter x axanthic is... The peanut butter is really a different type of hypo.So Peanut butter ghost seems logical. But a triple homo (PB X axanthic x hypo) can also be called a peanut butter Ghost?...I don't think so. Just to friking confusing.

So that is why the delemna came over for a new name.

The reason jeremy posted both the triple homo (PB x ax X Hypo) AND the PB x Axanthic, is we don't really think the Peanut butter Ghost term works well for either animal because it causes confusion.

Now we could call the following a:

1)PB Ghost- referring to a triple homo

2)A PB axanthic- referring to a Peanut Butter/Axanthic homo.

and ...

3) A Peanut Butter hypo -also another new double homo trait from this triple line.

But still people will refer to a PB x axanthic as a PB Ghost. it has already happened with other folks i had discussions with. Some even call a true snow a snow and some don't refer to the lavender snow as it should properly be. So out goes the idea of calling thing by their proper names.

Since I have the Albscent picked out for the T neg x axanthic x hypo. The Alabaster name seems to tie in with the T negative version of what I call the 123 line and it suits the color of the morph as well ties in with the Albescent name.

And what would be the proper term for the Albescent?..would it be a T negative albino ghost?

I wish that herpetoculture would have some standards . But just look at the cal king ghost and rosy boas ghost as well as all the Ball python names and one gets more confused.

Also another poster here has made an attempt to change the names around and use terms like type A , B, C, D, Or type I, Type II, Type III. But hell, i can't even tell whats what from that. We laso have to consider what is marketable and practical at the same time aloowing for some standards to be follwed.
