are those hooked up with a water pipe or are free standing like a fire extinguisher?

The reason i ask is I just checked 7 (yes seven) of my fire extinguishers (I always like to be prepared and have them in every room) and all of them had zero air in them. They leaked out over the last 3 years. they are full of the liquid. But empty as far as compressed air. So a warning for anyone who depends on those. they don't last long at all.

Also i took them to Ace hardware and home depot to see about getting a refill of air. And none of these places do that nor could they reccommend anywhere that does.

So I guess i got 7 useless full tanks minus the air.
