It depends on what mexican kings you are speaking about.

L. m. mexicana males are dimorphically larger as adults.

I have seen no other mexicana subspecies with the size/gender dimorphism as seen with Mex Mex.

There are some coloration and pattern variations by gender that I've noticed though.....
