Yeah, my mom used to tattoo the AKC registration numbers on the inner thigh of many peoples dogs back in the 70's and 80's before ID chips came around. Her entire life revolved around show dogs like you wouldn't even believe man.

Since there are so many other things that are pretty off-topic getting posted, here is just one of the many countless champion showdogs my mom has produced in her long lifetime showdog career that was sold as a young puppy to a good friend in Alaska to be shown. I actually own the best Miniature Whire-haired Dachshund of the same litter "Pablo" is from when my mom passed away back in April 2006 (rest her soul). But I have zero interest in the dogshow thing, and just have "Das Tropen BugKing Bronco" (Bucky) strictly as my little buddy part of my close family.

Her long champion bloodline all started from a German import that was (believe it or not) THE winningest Dachshund of all time in the entire world in 1969 that went by the kennel name of "CH. Wilheen's Winnie of Way-Hi". I have this dogs dogshow "BEST in SHOW" photo from 1969 and the oil painting portrait of her here as well.

When my mom passed away, there was an entire dogshow dedicated to her memory and feature a "parade of champions" that many other people had of her "Das Tropen" bloodline legacy that were featured one at a time as their short stories were narrated by an AKC judge.

Anyway, this only just scratches the surface of what she was in the professional dog world out there because she started in Standard Schnauzers and produced and finished many champion dogs there too, as well as was a professional dog handler for other peoples dogs too. In her carrer she also taught obedience class, was a show judge, chairperson for the "South Florida Dachshund Club of America", and for many years had a specialty dog grooming shop that specialized in the proper show-grooming of all terrier dogs called "the Terrier Trimmer". I remember people would actually travel from out of state to go to Ft. Lauderdale to get their showdogs groomed because nobody else had the knowledge of being able to do all of the different show-coats of all the different terrier breeds.

Anyway, here is just one of her many champion bloodline that now resides in Alaska and completed it's championship.

Sorry for the long post, but it doesn't even begin to portray how deeply involved and well-known my mom was in the dog world.
