Of the oldest snakes I know of by local folks near me, all were wild-caughts, and either adult or subadult when caught. For example, rosyboas captured as adults and kept in captivity for 23 yrs. That means those snakes could be at least 25 yrs old and probably are older. And offspring from those adults (born in captivity) have not lived for more than about 15 yrs in the same snake room and exact same conditions as those adults. | ||
