I received an Amel Holbrooki from Mike Madec......To my surprise when I opened the box it was solid yellow. Upon closer inspection it I saw that it had a speckled king pattern under the overall yellow coloration....After some phone calls I was told it was from Lemke or Sipperly's Holbrooki line.....

I bred her to a wild caught Refugio County, TX male. That county is on the northern side of the intergrade zone and is known to predominantly produce holbrooki phenoytpes, but there have been some splendida-like animals found there.....

The female laid 10 eggs and to my surprise 9 hatched out amelanistic......I guess the Wild Caught male is het for amel and they blew away the odds......

I still have 7 of them and some are yellowing up....my buddy has 2 amels and the one het.....
