Yes,....even though the old "brooksi" name is still very heavily used in today's hobby to describe the lighter phase, it has long since been considered a variant of L.g.floridana.
But even though it is a unique phenotype that is usually found mostly in extreme southern Florida, hobbyists will always generally consider and refer to them as Brook's kings to differentiate them from the much darker, less speckled peninsular forms that are more commonly found.
