If Zunchara is not gravid again this season I will brumate her with a male and not have her sister Dotz with them. It seems odd that a male would only mate with one of the two females in the trio cage and leave the other female untouched. But then these snakes do seem to do unusual things. As it is, when I put Zunchara with Zuni again today they didn't hook up this time. I think breeding season is now over at my place. At least she did mate with two different males (neither of whom she brumated with) starting last week, and had several days of good hookups.



So I may have three gravid pyros. Time will tell.
