your "firefly?" is indeed a firefly... Lucidota atra.

That Damselfly ( Enallagam boreale) pic is a killer though... common here in Maine but I never get tired of seeing them... it's amazing just how blue the blue is on them!

If you don't mind telling... what camera and lens were you using?

Again very cool... insects are a "secret" weakness of mine... incredible little creatures with colors that sometimes just can't be believed.
