PB to T neg = all Jellies Jelly to jelly= Jelies, PB and T negs Jelly to PB = PB and Jellies Jelly to T neg= Jellies and T negs
They share a locus on a single allele. It is hard to wrap ones mind around. But the simplest way for me during breeding season is if i have a T neg Ghost and a PB Ghost i can breed them and get Jelly ghosts.
Just think of it like this. The Jelly, PB and T neg are all one the same recessive trait. That make it easier to undertsand when combining multi hets with any three of those traits during breeding season and matching up pairs.or They don't have to match up like PB to PB. Or T neg to T neg. As long is het or visual one any one of those three . Like i said, best way is to think of them as all the same trait.
It really opened up the possibilities with multi het like the 4-5 and 6 way hets because it does not matter which of these three visual explanations (PB , Jelly, T neg) as long as the other traits involved line up.
For instance this year i bred a Jelly /hypo/axanthic homo to a snow (anery/lavender) which will create 5 way hets.
Now i also bred a Albescent which is a T neg x axanthic x hypo homozygot to another snow.
Now when these babies are born I can mix and match the hets from any two of these clucthes and they will line up. -----
