They are an aberrant form of Newport that pops out randomly in Los Angeles County. Only few have the amount of scrambled banding yours does. Most of them have a lot more striping to them. In the wild, that would be a pretty rare find, and they don't seem to be common in captivity either. My male Scrambled banded normally produces typical striped Newports, but did produce a nice scrambled banded one time and another that was slightly scrambled banded. Very cool. It goes to show what kind of genes are in the reverse spotted. | ||
